How does the AI skin scan work?

Take a well-lit, front-facing selfie with no glasses or heavy makeup. GlowIQ sends the photo to AILab Tools' AI, which analyzes 12+ skin metrics including wrinkles, pores, acne, hydration, and more. Results are returned within seconds.

What is the difference between Glow and Glow Pro?

Glow ($9.99/mo) gives you 8 Pro skin scans per month, unlimited product scanner, unlimited AI chat, full routines, and progress tracking. Glow Pro ($19.99/mo) upgrades you to 20 scans/month plus export reports and AI detection map overlays.

What is a "basic scan" vs a "Pro scan"?

The free daily basic scan gives you a quick preview — detected conditions shown as detected/clear, no detailed scores. A Pro scan (available to subscribers or with a Scan Pack) gives you the full analysis: numerical scores for all 12+ metrics, zone breakdowns, detection maps, an AI summary, and results are saved to your history.

How do Scan Pack credits work?

Scan Packs ($4.99 for 3 credits) are one-time consumable purchases. Credits don't expire and can be used anytime to run Pro scans, even without a subscription. They're perfect if you just want occasional deep analysis without a monthly commitment.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel, go to Settings on your iPhone → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GlowIQ → Cancel Subscription. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by GlowIQ directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the GlowIQ purchase, and request a refund. Apple reviews each request individually.

Are my scan photos stored? Who can see them?

Scan photos are stored securely in your private cloud storage folder. Only you can access your photos — they're protected by row-level security policies. We never share your photos with other users. You can delete all data at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account.

Is GlowIQ a medical device?

No. GlowIQ is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Results are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified dermatologist for medical concerns.

Why are my scan results different each time?

Skin analysis results can vary based on lighting conditions, camera angle, time of day, and skin state (morning vs evening). For most consistent results, take scans in natural daylight, facing the light source, with a neutral expression, and no glasses or heavy makeup.

The scan failed — will I lose a credit?

No. If a scan fails (no face detected, network error, or timeout), your Pro scan credit is automatically refunded. You'll see an error message explaining what happened, and you can try again immediately.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

Open GlowIQ → Profile tab → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. This permanently deletes all your scans, photos, profile data, and account credentials. This action cannot be undone.

What AI models does GlowIQ use?

Skin analysis photos are processed by AILab Tools' computer vision API (ailabtools.com). AI chat responses, skin summaries, routine generation, and ingredient analysis are powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model.
